Golden light comes softly though the fir trees by the water, making the grass seeds glow. A Black-tail doe and her family are in the back meadow. She looks up every now and then from grazing, keeping an eye on her young ones frolicking in the tall grass nearby. At dusk they head North East, back into the forest.
