Black-tailed Doe

I had been following a group of eight Black-tail Deer near my home on Cortes Island for about an hour, taking photos as they grazed in the tall grass near the water. As the sun went down over the Georgia Strait a beam of soft golden light came through the fir trees, landing on this Doe for just long enough to take a few photos.
